Teachers tap video-sharing in the classroom
It’s truly amazing how far technology has come in the past ten years. Children are really becoming computer savvy and leaving older adults behind. This particular article discusses how to make a video where students get involved through creation and knowledge. More and more teachers are hooking in to a site like You Tube called Teacher Tube a video sharing site for educators and students.
This is a good resource for teachers who would like to keep up with other educators and what’s happening in their classroom. This site is also features video’s made by kids for kids with the help of their teacher. Students are increasingly becoming more involved with learning from a video produced by other students called “video- sharing” however teachers are responsible for weeding through the videos and selecting what they want their students to see, however the site is screened for appropriateness. Some parents believe Teacher Tube is the way to go because it gets the child interested in learning and students can eventually create their own video. However some parents are concerned about exposing young children in video’s because they can be viewed by anyone that comes to the site.
